may i suggest: seeing from different angles

discover new ways of seeing iconic objects, buildings, places and things by observing them from different angles and positions. twist your body in different ways, crouch down or climb around or go down a hidden alley to capture a view you haven't seen before - just don't do anything illegal.

may i suggest: exploring the rose garden

san francisco: ride, bike or bus over to the very expansive golden gate park where you'll find lots of hidden delights and surprises like the rose garden, secretly tucked away beyond the museums. spend time exploring the varietals, enjoying the lovely scents and admiring the colors, shapes and sizes of the seemingly endless beds of roses. always remember one thing: roses have thorns so don't go falling in.

may i suggest: chor boogie - color therapy

san francisco: navigate your way to the corner of turk and mason off market street in san francisco's "to be avoided" tenderloin district. you will be greeted by chor boogie's enormous mural with huge strokes of vibrant color, shapes and faces spanning over doors and windows across buildings within the long alley. if you  fear a "less polished" area of the city, it's probably a good idea to avoid a visit after midnight.

may i suggest: unexpected reflections

whenever you wander about, take a moment to find reflections in unexpected places and unconventional surfaces. consider how objects and faces transform and take color depending on the type of surface you're looking at. i'd refrain from becoming too curious around water, especially if you're really interested in staying dry.

may i suggest: 18th & missouri

san francisco: make your way through the city and up the hills to 18th and missouri in potrero hill. take a moment to consider the long wooden fence painted in vibrant greens with splashes of bright color and note the multiple "eyes" staring at you from every direction. spend some time grouping the eyes together to form little characters and faces - but don't linger too long, someone may get suspicious, creeped out, or think you're just weird.

may i suggest: rooftop joy

if you're lucky enough to have access to your roof, take a moment to go up there at midnight and observe the environment around you. for an extra special treat, wait to do this during a full moon and bring some music with you. two things to note: if you fall, not my fault and if someone thinks you're a robber, jump.

may i suggest: nike missile launch

san francisco: cross the golden gate bridge and drive up up and up into the marin headlands. as you wind along the roads, passing the stunning views, you will come to the former Nike Missile launch site at Fort Barry. take a moment to stare out at the missiles sunning themselves in the scene. do not climb the fence and attempt to "ride" them, no matter how tempting. it's just a bad idea.

may i suggest: one market street

san francisco: when you're all alone, head to the building at one market late at night. pass the security guard(s), move beyond the elevators and find the open space in the middle. look up from the center point and take in all the golden lines and shapes. take note of the hum coming from the prism structure. feel the empty space and the height of your surroundings. run if you get in trouble.

may i suggest: find faces in places

on your next meandering adventure, pay very close attention to various shapes and objects that unexpectedly personify exaggerated facial expressions and emotions. if said faces begin to talk to you, then i may i suggest embarking on these adventures without hallucinogens next time.

may i suggest: take a peek

whenever the opportunity presents itself to become voyeuristic in a non threatening, not at all perverted or illegal way, go ahead a take a look. the consequences of whatever may follow cannot be blamed on me.

may i suggest: the crazy horse house

san francisco: maneuver your way to the corner of pacific and divisadero st where you find an enormous brick mansion with carousel horses in many of the windows. take a moment and imagine the kind of people who live there, then walk away quickly. very very quickly.

may i suggest: walking backward up a hill

navigate to your nearest ridiculously large hill. in san francisco, may i suggest the pacific heights / russian hill area. once at the bottom, begin to walk up the hill backwards for a different experience and a more spectacular view of your city. in the event a small dog comes running along behind you and you fall down because you're directionally off, don't say i didn't warn you.

may i suggest: city hall people watching

san francisco: navigate to the corner of van ness and grove to find yourself surrounded by city hall, the ballet, and the symphony. take notice of all the beautiful buildings and the types of people around you. if old people aren't your thing, I suggest you avoid the area entirely.

may i suggest: looking up

when you're walking to wherever it is you go again, spend some time looking up at the buildings around you. take notice to patterns and details, windows and escape routes. make sure no one is trying to escape while you're doing it, they're likely to land on your face.

may i suggest: a big robot

san francisco: go to the address at 2835 broadway and cross the street so you can see the house in front of you at full view. take notice of the giant robot  clinching his fists and staring down at you. he is very well endowed.
